Mobile Robot in Indoor Environment Dedicated to Security Systems

Abstract
This paper presents an application of mobile robotics. In this project, we propose the design of a mobile robot used as support in the safe area on a given physical space. The operator can view the area around the robot by remote operation of the camera mounted on the robot. The robot has sensors to know some parameters of the environment in which it moves. The sensor signals are conditioned to be read by a microcontroller which develops intelligent robot control. The robot is based on PIC microcontroller family. This paper describes the construction and operation of the robot and the results obtained.
