Main Article Content
Abstract
The city of Colima is characterized by its abundant vegetation, mainly the Calzada Pedro A. Galván where the oldest trees in the city are found; however, the damage to the alignment trees on the roads is eminent, where the census, characterization of the trees, and the strip of land where it is located, allows knowing the cause of the deterioration of the trees of said road. The results project the negative effects on the vegetation caused by the lack of planning or adaptability of the roads on areas where there were previously trees. The incorrect execution of the roads, together with the waterproof materials, creates irreversible damage to the specimens found within the road, directly affecting the environment, society, and the ecosystem. It is concluded that the correct planning and execution of the roads, with adequate space for the full growth of trees, are important factors that are not considered.
