Abstract

The following document presents an investigation carried out on four types of local natural membranes of the region of Colima, Mx. and one of Kraft paper for possible use in an indirect evaporative cooling system for a region with a Warm Sub-humid climate, comparing them between them in different tests in order to know their efficiency due to their characteristics of liquid absorption, evaporation rate, and capillarity. The experiments were done in an enclosed space with a controlled temperature adjusting to the average dry bulb temperature during the wettest season in the region, covering the months of July – November. The purpose of the study is to use natural products found in the region to take advantage of them.
