Abstract
Wireless communication systems have evolved to offer a greater amount of services at a lower and lower cost. To achieve this, systems have been continually improved to offer better spectral and energy efficiency for better use of available resources, which has reduced energy resource costs towards sustainable systems. Schemes with multiple antennas known as MIMO systems have been introduced in virtually all communication standards due to their good spectral and energy use thanks to multiple access by spatial division. Multi-user scheduling is a very important aspect in systems where the aim is to make the most of available resources and deliver the maximum possible capacity to users at all times. This paper deals with the performance analysis in terms of channel capacity and spectral efficiency of low complexity user selection and post-processing techniques in a MIMO system with inter-cellular interference.
