Abstract

Nowadays, measuring outdoor air quality is vitally important in most industrialized cities. The gases of interest for monitoring in this project are nitrogen dioxide NO2, sulfur dioxide SO2, suspended particulate matter PM2.5 and PM10, carbon monoxide CO, because these are the criteria pollutants that regulate air quality due to their concentration. A COTS prototype was designed to measure outdoor air quality will be designed and installed in the municipality of Manzanillo, Colima. This municipality is a critical point where the levels of environmental pollution have risen due to the growth of companies, hotels, thermoelectric power plant, mining consortium, and the large amount of activity related to its marine harbor. As a implementation result in a controlled location, the prototype properly get analog data from the SCD30 sensor, sends what it detects to the IoT server as well as its representation in graphs and history of each data which are temperature, humidity, and CO2.
