Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology available in a wide variety of areas, including the health sector, in what is known as Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). This allows for the development of IoT nodes for vital signs monitoring purposes with Internet connectivity, which would facilitate the monitoring of patients outside of healthcare facilities, such as home and work. In the present work, a prototype node for monitoring blood oxygen saturation, heart rate and body temperature was developed with the MAXREFDES117 and Feverclick sensors, respectively, connected to the ESP32 microcontroller. The collected information is stored on a Thingsboard server for data visualization and future data processing.
